The union members approvedx their agreement in avote Friday, June 12. The uniomn and company had been negotiatingsince May. This is the sixtg straight successfully negotiated labor contract at the Fort Wortbh facilityin 2009. Members of the International Association of Machiniste and AerospaceWorkers (IAM) ratified three-yeart labor agreements with Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth on April 19, coverinyg three bargaining units. The International Brotherhood of ElectricalpWorkers (IBEW) approved an agreement on May 15, and Offices and Professional Employees International Unionb (OPEIU) members approved an agreement May 16.
The Federatedx Independent TexasUnion (FITU), representinhg manufacturing planners, will negotiate on a new contract with the companuy in 2010. Lockheed Martin's Fort Worth plant produceds the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike the F-16 Fighting Falcon and a major portiojn ofthe F-22 Raptor, in additio n to conducting work on othed aeronautics manufacturing and research & development projects.
